Description
Industry Day Announcement Date: June 24, 2009 Time: 8:00am 5:00pm Place: Aberdeen Test Center Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD US Army Aberdeen Test Center (ATC) will conduct an Industry Day Conference on June 24, 2009 from 8:00AM to 5:00 PM for the Testing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hard/soft body armor, combat helmets, etc... The conference will be held at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. The purpose of this conference is to provide information to test facilities/laboratories interested in competing for contracts for ballistic and/or non-ballistic testing of PPE. Discussions on specific Army standard test operating procedures, MIL STDs and other current Army standards for PPE will be discussed along with a tour of ATC Test Facilities. Minimally, to be considered for ballistic test contracts, vendors must be National Institute of Justice certified; and for non-ballistic test contracts execute to appropriate industry standards. Attendees should familiarize themselves with MIL STD 3027, American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists and American Society for Testing and Materials standards prior to attending Industry Day. Space is limited. Therefore the Government requests that Industry limit their number of attendees to two per company.
