- Date: 2009 May 27 SOLICITATION NO. W9128F-09-R-0065 On or about 05 June 2009, this office will issue Request for Proposals for construction of the Replace Intake Structure Roof, Garrison Dam, Riverdale, North Dakota. The solicitation will close on or about 07 July 2009. This solicitation is RESTRICTED TO SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION Contractors interested in inspecting the site of the proposed work should contact Shannon Jeffers or Beth Utecht, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, phone number (701) 654-7411. DO NOT submit requests for plans and specifications to the site visit personnel listed above. See Obtaining Solicitation Documents below. Project Description: (Approx. quantities) Work under this contract consists of removal of approximately 26,000 SF of Built-Up Roof (BUR) and 1500 LF of aluminum flashing and replacing them with new EPDM Roof and new flashing. Due to high uplift pressures on our Intake Structure roofs, specialized roofing materials/system is used requiring an installation certification from the manufacturer. The estimated construction cost of this project is between$500,000 and $750,000. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 365 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bonding documents including the power of attorney shall bear an original signature by an officer of the surety. Representations and certifications are required to be updated annually as a minimum to keep information current, accurate and complete.
