Polyester Warp Knitted Mesh: The fabric shall be manufactured from bright continuous filament polyethylene terephlate (polyester yarn). The fabric shall be knitted on a 3 bar 18g raschel warp knitting machine. The fabric shall be supplied scoured, dyed black and heat set as stipulated. 3. Two Ply Butyl Coated Nylon Fabric: A double texture nylon fabric with an interply coating of a butyl rubber formulation, primarily intended for use in inflatable safety and survival equipment. The base textile prior to coating shall be fabric number 5. The fabric for the face designated "inner" shall be supplied scoured and heat set. The Fabric for the face designated "outer" shall be supplied scoured, dyed, and heat set. The color shall be specified in the Purchase Order. The color fastness to light of the dyed textile shall be not less than standard 6. The normal requirement is for the fabric to be dyed black. The fabrics shall be coated with a butyl rubber based formulation. The coating formulations shall be based on fully saturated halogen modified butyl rubber, compounded with carbon black, vulcanizing agents, reinforcing agents, accelerators and anti-oxidants, the relative proportion of which may be at the discretion of the coater. The coating formulation! s shall contain no less than 85% by volume butyl rubber. The carbon black content in the body coats shall not be less than 10 parts per hundred rubber. The coating formulation shall contain not less than 1 part per hundred rubber of antioxidant, which shall be of a type known to be active against contamination by heavy metal ions such as copper, cobalt, and manganese. 4. Non-fray Nylon Fabric: Nylon fabric treated with a non-fray finish primarily intended for use in safety and survival equipment. The base textile prior to coating shall be fabric No. 7. The base textile shall be supplied to the coater in the scoured, dyed and heat set condition. The base textile shall be coated with a solvent based acrylic polymer formulation which shall contain a minimum of 1% pentachlorophenyl laurate based on the dry mass of compound. After coating and cross linking the fabric shall be "dry" to the touch and shall not stick to itself when folded. 5. 2-Ply Butyl Fabric, N100N: A double texture nylon fabric with an interply coating of a butyl rubber formulation, primarily intended for use in inflatable safety and survival equipment. The base textile prior to coating shall be fabric number 5. The fabric for the face designated "inner" shall be supplied scoured and heat set.
