- RECOVERY ACT PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE:RECOVERY ACT ELEVATOR LOBBY AND MAIN STREET RENOVATION Description: The Louis Stokes Cleveland Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (LSCDVAMC), 10701 East Boulevard, Cleveland, Ohio, 44106 anticipates soliciting sources and subsequently awarding a contract for the construction project known as Recovery Act Elevator Lobby & Main Street Renovation. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, supplies, and travel, to perform work under this project. The work will include but not be limited to general construction, alterations, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, electrical work, utility systems, asbestos abatement, necessary removal of existing structures, construction, and certain other items. The location of the work will be at the above stated address. The solicitation will be issued as an Invitation for Bid conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 14, 19, and 36 and be evaluated in accordance with the procedures therein. This Notice is for informational purposes only. This opportunity is available only to contractors under the Set-Aside program. The solicitation will be a 100% set-aside for SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS as described in government-wide numbered note # 29. The solicitation will be issued on or about Tuesday, June 23, 2009 as an invitation for bid and bids will be due on Tuesday, July 21st, 2009 at 10:00AM EST, in Building 3, 1st Floor, Room B145B, 10000 Brecksville Road, Brecksville, Ohio 44141. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract. The period of performance shall be 750 calendar days from the receipt of Notice to Proceed. The solicitation, when issued, will include specifications and plans and shall be available for fee at Lakeside Blueprint, (216) 281-1234. This notice is not a request for competitive offers. Any firm that believes it can meet the following requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Officer no later than response due date. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
