Description
The Department of Veteran Affairs Facilities within the Veterans Intergrated Service Network (VISN 7) is soliciting bids for Wheel Chair/Van transportation services to the beneficiaries within the city limits of Charleston Veterans Medical Center (VAMC). This is a non- emergency requirement that is needed for local and out of town transportation for wheel chair transportation services for Charleston VAMC, and Community Based Out-Patient Centers (CBOC) located in Savannah, Ga.; Beaufort and Myrtle Beach, SC. Performance must begin on or about 1 October 2009. The Government expects to award to a single contractor a Firm Fixed Priced Indefinite Quantity Indefinite Delivery (IDIQ) contract and will be advertised in fedbizopps as a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business set-a-side. NAICS code for this requisition is 485991 with a small business size of $7.0 million. This contract includes a base year (1 October 2009- 30 September 2010), plus four (4) one year renewal options that may be exercised at the discretion of the Government. This solicitation is issued as a commercial item in accordance with FAR Part 12 and shall be evaluated in accordance with FAR Part 13. The solicitation RFP VA-247-09-RP-0249 will be available on or about June 1, 2009. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments. Only offers from those firms regularly established in the business of providing Wheelchair Van transport services will be considered. Subcontracting will not be allowed. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered.
