Description
The Regional Contracting Office Northeast, Quantico, Virginia is requesting informaton only, The associated NAICS Code will be 611430. The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to conduct market research which will be used to formulate an acquisition strategy to procure instructional delivery of five (5) Marine Corps Logistics Education Program (MCLEP) sessions annually. The Marine Corps is seeking interested academic institutions capable of developing and delivering both a resident (2 sessions) and non-resident (3 sessions) logistics and supply chain management curriculum to journeyman level Marine Corps students. The Marine Corps Installations and Logistics (I&L), School of Marine Air Ground Task Force Logistics is seeking companies with experience and capabilities to provide a comprehensive curriculum oriented toward military logistics and supply chain operations, industry best practices, and moderzation/transformational processes. Institutions possessing qualifications should submit responses addressing the following core objectives in terms of experience and relevant capabilities: a) Ability to deliver a practical curriculum oriented to stated objectives; b) Methodologies for delivering both resident and non-resident curricula; c) Faculty, augment staff and affiliations that provide expert knowledge and innovative views of emerging practices in logistics and supply chain disciplines; d) Facilities, capabilities and infrastructure to support 50-60 supply/logistics professionals in residence; and e) Ability provide instructors and augment staff at multiple sites throughout the! United States to provide a concentrated 5-day curriculum for 50-60 supply/logistics professionals. Responses to this RFI shall not exceed ten (10) pages, including cover letter, discussion and contact information. Subject response must contain: (1) Capability statement sufficient to demonstrate performance acumen directly related to the objectives stated; (2) Specific customers and descriptions of the referenced instruction provided; (3) Link to the respondent's web site, course offerings, or other active media; and (4) Other material relevant to establishing core competencies of the institution. Response is due by Friday, May 29, 2009, 1200 a.m., EST. Please submit e-mail responses to Wanda Willis at e-mail address: wanda.willis@usmc.mil. NOTE: This Request for Information is for planning purposes only and is issued in accordance with FAR Clause 52.215-3. Issuance of this notice does not constitute any obligation on the part of the Government to procure these services or to issue a solicitation. No solicitation document exists at this time, however, in the event the acquisition strategy demonstrates that GSA is a viable option for procuring a solution, only those firms responding to this RFI and considered most capable shall be issued the resulting RFQ The Government will not pay for information submitted in response to this RFI and responses to this notice cannot be accepted as offers. Any information that the vendor considers proprietary should be clearly marked as such.
