Description
The U.S. General Services Administration is seeking expressions of interest for secured indoor parking that will provide for 170 self-park type parking spaces (not valet or stacked type parking) for a ten (10) year lease term, cancelable solely by the Government after the fifth year of the term. The Government is seeking only properties that can be fully secured by the Government and the offered property must allow for 24/7 controlled access by the Government for both vehicles and personnel. On-site restroom accommodations for both men and women and the ability to construct a secure room (size to be determined) is required. Preference will be given to those individuals who can also provide a secured parking facility (the secondary parking requirement) either at the same offered location or elsewhere within the delineated area noted below) that can provide the Government with an additional 220 self-park type parking spaces on a temporary basis each year (between the months of August and October) during the same requested ten (10) year lease term. The secondary parking requirement can be provided either in a secured indoor structure or it can be provided on an outside property as long as the offered parking can be fully secured by gates and fencing. Any offered property must be located in the borough of Brooklyn, New York within a three (3) mile radius of 335 Adams Street in Downtown Brooklyn (this is the required delineated area). Preference will also be given to properties located within 1,000 feet of the New York Harbor and also to properties located within a one-half mile driving distance of a bridge or tunnel that provides for direct access into Manhattan. All responses to this request for parking received by June 1, 2009 will be considered. However, a determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action, based upon responses to this notice, is solely at the discretion of the Government.
