- Modification/Amendment #1 Further description of how items will be used: The cables will be used 50% of the time in an outdoor environment which is why we spec RG-142 cable. RG-142 has a Teflon outer jacket which is more resistant to abrasion and UV. The other 40% of applications using RG-223 will be in temporary indoor environments and possibly in walls and ceilings but not on floors. The remaining applications requiring reshapable semi-rigid cable RG-402FL will be used for interconnecting components within electronic equipment. End of Modificaton/Amendment #1
