Description
RFQ-OIT-09-0009 Clauses RFQ-OIT-09-0009 Solicitation RFQ-OIT-09-0009 Cover Letter On behalf of the Bureau of the Public Debt (BPD), the Office of Information Technology intends to acquire miscellaneous Cisco Systems and D-Link Systems hardware and software in accordance with the attached solicitation. This hardware and software will enable the Telecommunications Services Branch (TSB) to test wireless authentication methods and client tracking and to facilitate RF surveys within the BPD facilities. It will also be used to extend network connectivity to hard to reach places, conference rooms, and other meeting areas within BPD. This hardware will also enable the deployment of the first wireless LAN within BPD at the new warehouse. It will offer more flexible connectivity options than a wired LAN and the infrastructure for it will also support other secure wireless installations throughout BPD including the Washington, DC office. Each of the hardware items and software being ordered must work together to offer the ability to detect rouge users and access points, support EAP user authentication and WLAN assignment, offer "roaming" service to users, support for 802.11n, support for SNMP, automatic management of radio frequency allocation among the access points, and support for Layer 3 connectivity between the lightweight access points and the WLAN controller. Interested offerors may register at hppt://www.fedbizopps.gov to receive notification when the solicitation and any amendments are issued and available for downloading. Please note that the General Services Administration provides the notification service as a convenience and does not guarantee that notifications will be received by all persons on the mailing list. Therefore, we recommend that you monitor the FedBizOpps site for all information relevant to desired acquisitions. Responses to this request can be emailed to psb2@bpd.treas.gov - Attention Leslie Johnson.
