Description
Refurbish of Three Class A Fire Trucks/Pumpers Directorate of Contracting at Fort Polk, Louisiana will issue a Request For Quotations (RFQ), 100% small business set aside with intent to award a firm-fixed price purchase order for refurbishing of three (3) fire trucks for Fort Polk, Louisiana. General technical specifications include: Replace the existing cab, chassis and fire pump and piping assembly with a new extended custom cab (seating configuration for 4) with 12 inch raised roof, red in color, 45,740 GVW chassis, Cummins 330 HP diesel motor, 5 speed automatic programmable transmission with Jacobs brake. The fire pump will be a Hale 1500 gallon per minute (GPM) single stage UL listed fire pump, discharge locations/sizes listed in Fort Polk specifications, 500 gallon L shaped poly water tank with lifetime repair/replacement warranty, 30 gallon poly foam tank with lifetime repair/replacement warranty, a 400 gym (@ 3%) foam proportioning system, warning lights and sirens IAW NFPA 1901 (2009 edition) and listed in Ft. Polk specifications. The fire apparatus body will require extensive modifications to meet the current mission requirement for Fort Polk Fire and Emergency Services. It will be at that successful contractors option to replace the body or modify/refurbish the existing apparatus body, within the strict minimum requirements that are identified in the apparatus specifications document. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 336120 Heavy Duty Truck Mfg with a small business size of 1,000 employees. Only bids from small businesses concerns will be considered for award. This RFQ has an approximate issue date of 21 May 2009 and approximate due date of 29 May 2009. Faxed and emailed bids will be accepted. The solicitation and any amendments will be posted and available for view and download at http://www.jrtc-polk.army.mil/doc in addition to ASFI. Interested parties should review their Commercial and Government Entity Code (CAGE) and be registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR). The contractor must have the capability to submit payment requests using the following electronic form: Wide Area WorkFlow-Receipt and Acceptance (WAWF-RA).
