- U.S. Customs Border Protection (CBP) intends to solicit and award a single Sole-Source Contract to Kelleys Island Ferry for a Base and four-one year Option Periods. The proposed Contract provides passenger and vehicle ferry services from Marblehead, OH to Kelleys Island, OH. This requirement is in support of the US Border Patrol mission. The Contract Period of Performance is 01 October 2009 through 30 September 2010 with four-One year Option Periods. The Government is under no obligation to Exercise any Option. It is estimated the total value of this requirement to include the Option will not exceed $25K. This action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is NOT a request forcompetitive proposals; however, a determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement, therefore no solicitation will result from this announcement.
