- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Nova Power Solutions, Inc., 23020 Eaglewood Court Suite 100, Sterling, VA 20166, for the procurement of six (6) Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS). The following statements provide justification for this requirement being sole sourced: The system has already gone through and passed environmental and shock testing with this part installed. Once a system is certified, nothing can be altered without further testing and approval from The Department of the Navy. Using alternate equipment would prove costly in time and dollars to the government and to the mission as cabling would not be form, fit or function identical. The Request for Quote (RFQ) number is N61331-09-T-3518. Simplified Acquisition Procedures is the method of award for this procurement. The NAICS code is 335999 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The order shall be firm fixed price with the anticipated award date of June 2009. Delivery will be to the Naval Support Activity Panama City, Receiving Officer Building 100, 101 Vernon Avenue, Panama City, FL 32407-7001. Delivery terms for this requirement are FOB Destination. In order to be eligible for award firms must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). Vendors may obtain information on registration in the CCR by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Please note that defense payment office may not make payment unless the contractor is established to receive electronic funds transfer (EFT). EFT payments are based on the contractor's EFT information contained in the CCR database. The NSWCPCD has implemented Electronic Commerce (EC) in the acquisition area. Therefore, this synopsis and any applicable modifications will be available at https://www.fbo.gov. Vendors should regularly access this web site to ensure that they have downloaded all modifications.
