- This is a notice of intent and not a request for competitive proposal. A solicitation document will not be issued and proposals will not be requested. The National Institute on Drug Abuse, Office of Acquisitions-Neurosciences, Station Support/Simplified (SS/SA) Acquisition Branch, on behalf of the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) intends to negotiate on a FAR 12 basis and award a purchase order on a noncompetitive basis to TTP Labtech Ltd, Melbourne Science Park, Melbourne Royston SG8 6EE, Great Britain (GBR) for a Mosquito Liquid Handling Robot. Delivery Time 15 to 30 days after receipt of order. The patented Deck Mosquito Robotic shall provide a positive displacement disposable tip technology for a precise, reliable and accurate pipetting of sub-micro-liter volumes of liquid. The features are described below. (1)Automated positive displacement pipetting device. (2)Automated disposable tip based pipetting device capable of accurately delivering nL volumes. (3)Pipetting device capable of handling wide ranges of liquid viscosities without set-up changes. (4)Crystallization robot capable of aspirating multiple source liquids and dispensing them simultaneously. (5)Low volume crystallization robot that does not rely on tip washing, guarantee zero cross contamination of samples. (6) Low volume crystallization robot capable of setting up hanging drop, sitting drop and microbatch experiment. There are no other known sources that manufacture a product to meet the above features. The acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition using FAR 12 procedures and is exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6, Competition Requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon response to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government.
