Description
The FAA New England Region has a new construction effort for the replacement of the Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and HVAC replacement work at Logan International Airport Air Surveillance Radar 9 Facility. All work shall be in accordance with the attached Specifications and Drawings. The performance period is ninety(90) calendar days. This project is a 100% set-aside for Small Business Concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238210 with a size standard of $14M. Contractor must have successfully completed similar projects both in dollar amount and scope. The Request for Offer, including Specifications, Drawings, and Wage Rates, are attached to this announcement. All documents are available in.pdf format and may be viewed with Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Standard or Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional. The price range for UPS and HVAC replacements is $250,000 to $500,000. Performance and Payment bonds are required. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT short Term receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
