- This is a market survey only. The Joint Munitions & Lethality ContractingCenter, CCJM-MA anticipates soliciting a sole source award (under FAR 6.302-1)to DRS Environmental Systems, 7375 Industrial Road Florence, KY 41042-2911, toprovide expertise in a trade study in reference to the current MicroclimaticConditioning System (MCS) Contract. The contractor shall address thefollowing items: The cost, both recurring (retrofit) and non-recurring(engineering/development) to complete the MCS obsolescence program ormodify/install the PIM MCS into current fleet vehicles. Technical informationto include integration, installation and performance of both design approachas related to its operation in current fleet Paladins and power requirementsof both systems. The contractor will also include an estimated schedule forcompletion of engineering/development/testing work for each system, risksassessments for either option, and any other factors that may affect theoperation or implementation of either system into the current fleet Paladins. Knowledge of this nature is necessary because the duplication costs forresearch and knowledge would be costly to the Government. This proposedrequirement has an anticipated period of performance of 3 months. Firms shouldindicate in their response the level of clearance possessed. Anyresponsible/interested sources shall submit their qualifications andcapabilities within 15 days of this notice to: US Army Contracting Command,Joint Munitions & Lethality Contracting Center, Picatinny NJ 07806, Mr.Michael A. Grant, Bldg. 10, or submit the information electronically tomichel.grant16@us.army.mil. Information submitted should include yourorganization, personnel, facilities, applicable subcontractor network, andpast experience to meet the specific needs stated above. Include company name,address, telephone number, technical point of contact, andbrochure/literature. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION AND DOES NOT OBLIGATE THEGOVERNMENT TO ISSUE A SOLICITATION. Please be advised that the Government willnot pay for any information submitted under/in relation to this announcement.Electronic submittals are preferred. See Numbered Notes 22 and 25.
