- Sources Sought to gain market knowledge of potential small business sources capable of: Providing Ontological Coaching to first-time superintendents (mid-to upper-level managers) involved in the New Superintendent Academy Training program.The National Park Service (NPS) is a bureau in the U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI) and is part of the Executive Branch of the Federal Government. The NPS consists of 391 distinct units extending from Guam to Alaska to Puerto Rico, including all the States except Delaware. The Service is charged with the management of the nation's most precious natural and cultural resources. The New Superintendent Academy (NSA) is a part of the NPS and is an 18-month training program provided to first-time superintendents (mid-to upper-level managers) under the auspices of the Learning and Development Division. Consistent with standard practice in employee development and education programs, and in organizational development initiatives within and outside of government, the NSA curriculum includes one-on-one coaching. Coaching provides participants with information about their behaviors, strengths, career de-railers, and other personal factors that affect their ability to lead park staff and interact with partners and stakeholders. This is not a Pre-Solicitation or Solicitation Announcement. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. The purpose of this sources sought notice is to gain market knowledge of potential small business sources and their size classifications; HUBZONE, 8(a), Small Disadvantaged Business, Woman Owned Business, Veteran Owned Business, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business (SDVOB), relative to Business Coaching and North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) 611430. Responses to this notice shall include company name, address, point-of0contact, size of business pursuant to NAICS 611430 and must respond to the following questions: 1) Is you business a small business under NAICS code 611430? 2) Does your firm qualify as a small disadvantaged business? 3) If disadvantaged, is your firm certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act? 4) Is your firm a certified HUBZONE business? 5) Is your firm a certified Woman-Owned Business? 6) Is your firm a certified Veteran Owned Business? 7) Is your firm a certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business (SDVOB)? Please provide a capability statement addressing your organizations ability to perform as a prime contractor the following: Ontological Coaching The type coaches required by NSA are business coaches; preferably International Coach Federation (ICF) certified or some other organization with comparable standards, to work one-on-one with NSA executives and who can focus on aligning individual and organizational goals to optimize performance and mission results. NSA believes business coaching is most effective when it addresses individual and organizational change to improve mission performance; enables personal transformation and career role transition; supports the development of future leaders for the organization; and/or addresses a specific challenge. Business coaching enables individuals to enhance existing capabilities, set meaningful goals, and be accountable for results. The overall result is more knowledgeable and skilled leaders who are adaptable; who inspire, motivate, and guide others towards goals; who mentor and challenge the workforce; and who demonstrate high standards of honesty, integrity, trust, openness and respect.
