Description
THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR VMESTORAGE MODULE. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This noticeserves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will notbe issued.The purpose of this amendment is to answer questions that were asked.Question 1: Does the entire VME storage module meet the -40C to +85C temperature, orjust the solid state disk?Answer 1: Operating Environmental Specification (meet or exceed for the whole VME boardnot just the SSD) Temperature: -40 to 85 degree C Shock 50g half-sine, 11 ms Vibration 16g rms, 10-2000Hz random Altitude 80,000 feet Relative Humidity 5% to 95% non-condensingQuestion 2: Are more details available for the P2 SAS/SATA Transition Module?Answer 2: Performance Burst data transfer rate 300MB/sec Sustained data transfer rate 120MB/sec with access time of 0.5 ms or betterCapacity Unformatted at least 256GB (in one SSD)Interface Serial ATA (SATA) P2 connector (vendor has to provide the P2 pin assignments for the SATA interfaceto NASA in advance) Transition module that fits the VME64x enclosure (this to provide standardinterface using standard SATA signal cable) Individual point-to-point connectivityPower Input 5VDC +/-5% Operational (max) 5.0W or betterReliability (at least) MTBF 1,300,000 hrs BER 1 in 10 to 14 powerForm factor (physical) 6U VME that fits VME64x enclosure (160mm x 234mm (Double Eurocard)One standard slotThe due date for receipt of offers is extended from 5/19/2009 to 05/21/2009.Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASAAcquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on 5/05/2009.
