Description
The Orlando Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), 5201 Raymond Street, Orlando, FL, 32803 has a requirement for home medical oxygen services for approximately 800 veterans served by the Central Florida Healthcare System (CFHCS). The service area consists of the following 12 counties: Marion, Flagler, Volusia, Lake, Seminole, Orange, Brevard, Osceola, Polk, Highlands, Indian River, and St. Lucie. The solicitation is 100% set-aside for small businesses. The applicable NAICS code is 621610 and the size standard is $13,500,000. However, the small business size standard for a concern which submits an offer in its own name, but which proposes to furnish an item which it did not itself manufacture, is 500 employees. Required services include management and storage of Government-furnished equipment, including semi-annual preventive maintenance; providing oxygen, cylinders, ventilators, peripherals (cannulas, tubing, masks, etc.); transportation, delivery and set-up; patient/caregiver education; creating and maintaining patient plans of care, and other related services. The Government contemplates award of a requirements contract with firm, fixed unit prices and estimated quantities, for a 12-month base period and 3 12-month options. Anticipated start date is April 1, 2009, but may be later. Base period will be for 12 months from date of award. Solicitation shall be issued on or about 18 February 2009 and responses are due 10 March 2009. All questions shall be submitted in writing to each of the email addresses shown in the synopsis. All questions shall be answered via amendment to the solicitation. No telephonic or fax inquiries shall be addressed. Offerors are responsible for downloading and acknowledging all documents relevant to this solicitation.
