Description

United States Forest Service requires aerial imagery services for direct digital acquisition of 50cm (19.7 inch) resolution stereo-coverage of the following items: 1. Routt National Forest, Colorado, approximately 2,160 square miles; 2. Medicine Bow National Forest, Wyoming, approximately 2,157 square miles; and 3. Thunder Basin National Forest, Wyoming, approximately 2,840 square miles. This solicitation will include an option to upgrade to 30 cm (12 inch) resolution and an option for increase quantity to be awarded according to level of funding. Imagery acquisition must be accomplished using a digital camera that collects four-band multi-spectral natural color (RGB) and color infrared (CIR) simultaneously. The project will have an approximate flying season of June 15, 2009 through October 1, 2009. Upon contract award, the contractor is required to draft and submit the proposed flight plan for Government approval prior to the notice to proceed. Contract deliverables include: georeferenced TIFFs, ABGPS and IMU data, photo-center file, and other data files to be due 30 days after the end of the flying season. The solicitation number (RFP)USDA-FS-8-09 will be issued on or after Thursday, May 27, 2009, with proposals due Friday, June 26, 2009. This solicitation will be issued under FAR 15 as full and open competition procurement and is subject to the Availability of Funds clause (FAR 52.232-18).
