Description

EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST SOUGHT LEASE REQUIREMENT – HUNTSVILLE, AL Requirement: The U. S. Government currently occupies 95,000 usable square feet of space in a building under Government lease in Huntsville, AL, that will be expiring. The Government is seeking to lease approx. 95,000 USF or 109,250 rentable square feet of contiguous rentable square feet of office and related space. Location: All alternate buildings submitted for consideration must be located within the following delineated area: North: U. S. Hwy. 72 South: I-565 East: Sparkman Drive West: Slaughter Road. Term: The lease term requirement is eight years based on an occupancy date of September 1, 2009. Response: The Government’s decision regarding whether to relocate will be based, in part, on information received in response to this advertisement, and a cost benefit analysis to determine whether to compete the lease require or pursue a sole source justification to remain at its current location. In making this determination, the Government will consider, among other things, the availability of comparable quality space, as well as costs likely to be incurred through relocating, such as the physical move costs, replication of tenant improvements and telecommunications infrastructure, and non-productive agency downtime.
