- Description
- This AMENDMENT to the COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION responds to vendor questions submitted by May 11, 2009 at 12 PM Eastern Time. Quotes are still due by May 19, 2009 at 3 PM Eastern Time. No extensions are anticipated. All other terms and requirements of the original solicitation remain unchanged. Vendor Questions and Government Responses The Q&A will also be posted to the solicitation announcement at http://www.aqd.nbc.gov/solic/openmarket.asp (NBCWZ900441) Q1. Is a site visit possible? If not, can the designated work areas be described in detail? A1. A site visit is not possible. The baskets are stored in existing closed shelving units in a very large open storage area. There is a secured work room with tables, shelves, lighting, computer hook-ups, sink etc. This room is approximately 20 feet by 40 feet. There should be ample room for up to four technicians to work on multiple baskets. Q2. Please clarify what the guidelines for the storage mounts are- i.e. does each object require it own box? Will all baskets be mounted and stored on existing shelving units? A2. Each basket does NOT need a box. Each basket will be stored on existing shelving. Each basket does need custom made support to ensure that its shape is maintained and materials are not abraded or pressured. Q3. Is there a database that has already been created for the condition reports of the objects, notes and photographs to be entered electronically or will that database need to be created and/or developed by the contractor? Is the Ramer Report available in a Word document format? How much registrarial work will be required of the contractor or will DOI staff be handling this? A3. Yes, there is an existing electronic database in which the contractor can input the information noted. The Ramer report exists only in hard copy and PDF. In our estimation, a large portion of the work outlined in the SOW is "registrarial work". An Interior Museum registrar will be on site at least one day per week. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (11-MAY-2009); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE. PLEASE CONTACT 877-472-3779 or fbo.support@gsa.gov REGARDING THIS ISSUE.
