Description
Potential sources sought. The Coast Guard has a requirement to purchase Carver pump units in support of the National Security Cutter (NSC) Bertholf. Technical data and/or drawings pertaining to the Carver pump units are not available within the Government and are proprietary to the Carver Pump Company. It is believed that this non-availability of technical data precludes the U. S. Coast Guard from obtaining competition, as the Carver pump units are available from only one source. The procurement involves pump units being procured from the prime equipment manufacturer. The following pump units are required: 1. Centrifugal Pump, Chilled Water Service Pump; Dimensions: L36"X W26.44" X H9.13"; Weight 785lbs. Use MPG P/N 998-1110-E-14. In addition to the attached referenced specifications each pump or pump unit shall be individually packaged in its own wooden crate. Each pump or pump unit will be wrapped in a clear plastic bag and will contain two dessicant packs. Each pump or pump unit shall be bolted to the bottom inside of the crate. The crate shall be constructed in such a manner as to prevent the pump from shifting within. The crate shall be capable of protecting the pump from damage during multiple shipments by commercial carrier. Markings shall be clearly visible, and the largest size practical for the package size. Markings (Black) will be stenciled onto a contrasting background. End Use: Used on USCGC 418 FT. WMSL Water Chilled cooling distribution system. Part NBR: 998-1110-E-14. 2. Centrifugal Pump, Fire; Dimensions: L56.36" X W34.81" X H26.63"; Weight 2203lbs. Use MFG P/N 998-1110-F-02.
