Description

THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER MACC N68711-04-D-3001 (NAVFAC SW00036) DRY UTILITIES. The work includes, but is not limited to, providing and installing an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) that will support future IT equipment load of the Information Technology (IT) infrastructure in Building 2 Room GK-10P1 at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego, CA. The contractor will provide electrical connections and wiring for the new UPS including modification to the existing electrical distribution panel to receive the new UPS equipment. The project will also require removal and disconnection of existing homerun circuits for servers (AD and TRICARE) and re-fed circuits via the newly provided transformer and electrical panel board. Additionally, provide grounding system for the existing raised floor system; structural support and seismic bracing for both UPS and battery cabinets and a disconnecting means for the Computer Room Air-Conditioning (CRAC) units in compliance with NEC and NFPA 75. The contractor will also relocate existing perforated tiles and install ne! w ones to suit air-conditioning requirements.****************************************************************The NAICS Code for this procurement is 237130 and the annual size standard is $33.5M. "Estimated cost: $250,000 to $500,000." This is a new procurement. It does not replace an existing contract. No information exists on prior contracts. The proposed contract action is for construction for which the Government intends to solicit and award without discussion under the authority of FAR Part 15. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The solicitation utilizes source selection procedures which require offerors to submit a technical proposal, and a price proposal for evaluation by the Government.
