Description
Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Construction and Facilities Management (CFM), Washington, DC is issuing this Sources Sought to identify potential small, bondable, and experienced businesses such as: (1) Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB): (2) Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB); (3) 8(a) contractors, (4) HUBZone Small Businesses, (5) Women Owned Small Businesses (WOSB), (6) and/or Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDB) that are capable of meeting this construction requirement. The construction need is relative to Project No. 897CM2015 entitled Leavenworth National Cemetery Expansion, Leavenworth, Kansas. This project will develop approximately 9,990 pre-placed concrete crypts, a 1,500 niche columbarium and 500 traditional gravesites. The project will develop approximately 18.5 acres to include: a committal shelter; walks; road system; utilities; signage; site furnishings; utility distribution system and landscaping. The estimated cost range for this project is between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 237990 and the small business size standard is $33.5 Million. The award of a firm fixed-price construction contract is anticipated. Interested bondable small businesses having the skills and capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirements are invited to provide information to contribute to this sources sought. Responses must include the following information: (1) Company name, address, point of contact with phone number and e-mail address; (2) Business size determination and qualifying small business status; (3) Bonding capacity (from surety); and (4) Construction experience of similar projects in size and scope (minimum 3). You are required to E-mail your responses to the Contracting Officer Gregory Sabater, at Gregory.M.Sabater@va.gov no later than 4:00 pm EDT on May 22, 2009 and in the subject line state Leavenworth National Cemetery and Company Name.Please note that this is not a request for proposal (RFP) and the government is only seeking information for market research purposes only.
