- This notice is for solicitation No. VA-243-09-IB- 0244 Recovery Project No. 620A4-07-109, Tuck Point Bldg15E at the Castle Point Campus of the VA Hudson Valley Healthcare System, Castle Point, NY 12511 This notice is provided for information purposes only. This opportunity is available only to contractors who have verified "Service Disable Veteran Owned Small Business Status".This shall be a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside (SDVOSB). As a result, all SDVOSB's may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the agency. This project is classified under NAICS Code 238140, and has a size standard of $14.0 Million. The cost estimate range for this project is $2,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00 The work for this requirement consists of, but is not limited to:The contractor will furnish all materials, equipment, supervision, and personnel necessary to accomplish the job: to abate lead-base paint and abate asbestos containing caulk as indicated; to tuckpoint, clean, and seal Building 15E; to tuckpoint, clean, prime and paint portions of Building 15E; to remove and replace windows and steel lintels; to perform temporary regrading and landscape work, and miscellaneous related work as shown on the drawings and perform work specified herein and comply with VA specifications and VA regulations, procedures and conditions for work at the medical center and any applicable codes as per requirements of all governing agencies. Contractor will be responsible to coordinate and schedule work to minimize to short duration any shutdowns and shall be expected to plan work during duty hours of the hospital. Construction Phasing will be required and shall ensure access to the connecting corridors between the buildings; and to all means of egress at all times for facility's fire protection requirements and to meet the requirements of regulatory codes, laws, etc. In addition to meeting these requirements, all work shall be done on weekdays, except as noted otherwise in 1.46(B), and therefore work progress must be phased and scheduled such that all work started is completed during a weekday time allowance. All other details and information shall be contained in the solicitation which shall be posted on www.fbo.gov. The solicitation will be released on or around May 21, 2009. The bid submittal address, date and time will be included in the solicitation. This project requires bonding and all bid submissions shall be in hardcopies; faxed or e-mailed bids will not be accepted. All bidders shall be registered in www.ccr.gov, www.vetbiz.gov, and www.orca.bpn.gov.
