Description
The Marine Corps System Command (MCSC) is conducting a market survey for a Slope Angle Indicator for installation on and use with the M40 series Sniper Rifle, the M39 Enhanced Marksman Rifle, the M107 Special Application Scoped Rifle, and the MK11 MOD1 Rifle. The desired solution should allow the user to discern the slope of the weapon in relationship to the horizontal plane. Upon receipt and review of response to attachment 1, MCSC may choose to purchase samples with which to conduct testing during 4th Quarter, Fiscal Year 2009 (FY09). This RFI is issued to allow industry the opportunity to review the draft requirement and provide any comments, questions, or feedback to Marine Corps Systems Command. Commercial firms possessing the capability noted above and in attachment 1 are encouraged and invited to submit a statement of capability and pricing materials. Please notate if the part is offered on GSA Schedule. Responses must include the following: corporate busines! s size, stating whether the company is 8(a) certified, disabled veteran-owned, veteran owned, woman owned, HUB Zone, Native American, or other Small Business Administration approved designations. MSCS will use the results of this announcement to determine what capabilities exist in the marketplace to fulfill the Government's requirement outlined above. This request for information (RFI) is for planning purposes only. The Government will not pay or provide reimbursement for any costs incurred in the preparation or delivery of the request for information. Interested firms are requested to submit a capability statement, outlining their ability to meet or exceed this potential requirement no later than 3:00pm EST, 17 May 2009.
