Description
Contracting Office Address:IMDE-ACM, Concessions, Intermountain Region, National Park Service, 12795 West Alameda Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado 80228 Description:The National Park Service will offer a site visit in regards to the Prospectus soliciting proposals for providing medical services within Yellowstone National Park on Wednesday, June 17, 2009. The Prospectus was issued on April 21, 2009 with proposals due no later than 4:00 pm MST on Tuesday, August 18, 2009. The site visit is not required to submit a proposal for the Prospectus, but attendance is encouraged. The site visit will begin in the NPS Concessions Management Office (Building 36) at Mammoth Hot Springs at 8:30 am. The National Park Service will offer tours of the medical clinics at Mammoth, Lake and Old Faithful. This site visit will be limited to the business facilities only; residences will be occupied by seasonal staff and will not be available for tours. The site visit will include visits to the Mammoth Clinic, a year round clinic, at Mammoth Hot Springs (the northern end of the park), the Lake Clinic located at Yellowstone Lake Area (the center of the park) and the Old Faithful Clinic located in the Old Faithful Area (the west side of the park). The site visit will travel from Mammoth to Lake to Old Faithful and will end at Old Faithful. You will be responsible for providing your own transportation for the site visit. The site visit will include driving approximately 200 miles and participants should be prepared for potentially winter driving conditions. Yellowstone has changing weather conditions, and it is not uncommon to have late spring storms that produce snow throughout the park. Also please note that there is road construction between Madison and Norris on the west side of the Grand Loop Road. You should expect 30 minute delays while traveling over this segment of the park road. Lodging and food service is available in the park and surrounding gateway communities. If you are planning on staying overnight, it is suggested that you make reservations well in advance of your visit. Lodging during this time of year is often full and not available on a walk-in or short notice basis. You will be responsible for your own lodging and food. An information packet will be prepared for this visit, and copies will be made available to prospective bidders on site or after the site visit has occurred. Interested parties must R.S.V.P. by June 12, 2009 for the site visit, to Judy Jennings, Chief, Concessions Management Program, Yellowstone National Park at 307-344-2271, or via email at judy_jennings@nps.gov Any questions specific to the visit can be made to Judy Jennings at 307-344-2271 or via email at judy_jennings@nps.gov This site visit will be a tour of facilities assigned to the concessioner to provide medical services in Yellowstone National Park. This is not intended to be a forum to ask questions or request further information. Any questions or requests for information will not be provided on the site visit.
