- Description
- Project calls for various repairs and/or complete reconstruction to airfield (runway, taxiways, parking ramp) pavements at Dyess AFB, Texas, 79607. The project is a requirements type Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) firm-fixed price contract. The magnitude of the contract is between $25,000,000 and $100,000,000. The contract will not be set-aside. The performance period is one (1) base year from 1 August 2009 thru 28 February 2010 with two (2) option years. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237310. Work may include but is not necessarily limited to: 1) Portland cement concrete and hot mix asphaltic concrete pavement section replacement, 2) installation of asphalt overlays, 3) installation of pavement markings, 4) rubber removal, 5) spall repairs, and 6) milling/grinding of pavement surfaces. Offeror will take possession of the runway on a Friday at 6pm and finish work by the following Monday at 6am. The Government must be able to land a plane at 6:01am on that Monday. If flying schedule permits, some work may be accomplished during normal duty hours. The solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 15 May 2009 via the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Paper copies will not be available. It is the responsibility of all interested parties to review the FBO website frequently for updates/amendments to any and all documents for the solicitation. All prospective offerors interested in submitting a proposal must be registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) (www.ccr.gov) in order to be eligible for an award. The closing date and time for submission of offerors will be contained in the solicitation package.
