- This is a Sources Sought Synopsis ONLY and is for information and planning purposes only and does not commit the Government to any contractual agreement. Requests for copies of a solicitation will not receive a response. The Joint Project Manager for Individual Protection is issuing this sources sought announcement as part of a market survey for training and fielding support services for chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) respirators. The course conduct information package and fielding schedule for the Chemical-Biological: Joint Service General Purpose Mask (JSGPM), Field M50 and JSGPM, Combat Vehicle M51 are posted with this announcement. This package is representative of other CBRN respirators. Interested parties should have the following capabilities: 1.Experience providing mobile training program for CBRN equipment to locations CONUS and OCONUS. 2. Experience and expertise conducting training for CBRN respirators. 3. Capability to support multiple training sessions, locations, and respirators concurrently. It is anticipated that training will be required for up to 60 locations in a calendar year. 4. Adequate training qualifications to instruct multi-service CBRN personnel. 5. Logistical support and experience supporting mobile training program. 6. Experience supporting fielding and inspection of military equipment in accordance with AR 700-142. Interested parties should submit the following for consideration by 28 May 2009: 1. Company information to include name, address, DUNS number, point of contact, phone number and email address and all teaming or partnering plans. 2. Summary of relevant experience (contracts) and contract value. 3. Description of capabilities, experience and qualifications to perform this effort. 4. The response to this announcement should be no more than ten (10) pages in length. This sources sought announcement does not constitute an Invitation for Bids (IFB), a Request for Quote (RFQ), or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and it should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the Government to issue a formal solicitation or ultimately award a contract. The U. S. Government is in no way liable to pay for or reimburse companies or entities that respond to this announcement. All costs incurred by interested companies in response to this announcement will NOT be reimbursed. All information provided that is marked as proprietary information will be safeguarded to prevent disclosures to non-government personnel and entities. Your interest in this program is appreciated. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the information submitted. All interested parties should reply by submitting a response no later than 3:00 PM (EDT) 28 May 2009 to Valerie Bryant, Contract Specialist, email: valerie.bryant@us.army.mil.
