- The purpose of this amendment is to clarify the revised the statement of work, provide answers to bidder questions and extend the solicitation due date. Item 0001, Dissassemble five (5) each Big Top Shelters currently located at 131FW, 10800 Lambert International Boulevard, Bridgeton, Missouri 63044-2371. Shelters must be disassembled and removed from 131FW no later than 1 June 2009. Item 0002, Relocate five (5) each Big Top Shelters from 131FW, 10800 Lambert International Boulevard, Bridgeton, Missouri 63044-2371 to 120FW, 2800 Airport Avenue B, Great Falls, MT 59404-5570. Item 0003 Reassemble five (5) each Big Top Shelters at 120FW, 2800 Airport Avenue B, Great Falls, MT 59404-5570. Questions and Answers: 1. Are all 5 structures 60' x 70'? Are they insulated? Answer: All 5 structures are 60 x 70. They are not insulated. 2. Will the structures be stripped bare (all electrical, air conditioning, fire sprinklers, etc if applicable) prior to disassembly? Answer: The structures will not be touched prior to the disassembly crew. Contractor is responsible for the complete disassembly. 3. Are the structures being assembled on concrete, asphalt, tarmac, or dirt / grass in Montana? Answer: Concrete 4. What is the timeframe from commencement of disassembly to erection completion required? I see 12 days for erection, but are there mandates for disassembly and trucking as well that will specify the overall performance schedule? Answer: The shelters must be removed from 131FW no later than 1 June 2009. The timeframe for relocation and reassembly are negotiable, however the shelters must be reassembled at 120FW by 30 June 2009. 5. What site repair if any will be required upon disassembly in Missouri? Answer: None 6. Does the Prevailing Wage (Davis-Bacon Act) apply for each base or does one bases' rate prevail for bidding purposes? Answer: This contract is subject to FAR 52.222-41 Service Contract Act of 1965 (Nov 2007). 7. What is the age of the fabric on the structures in Missouri, and are there currently any damaged fabric panels or framing members that have to be dealt with? Answer: The Age of the fabric is unknown. It appears that one support beam will need to be replaced. Pictures of the assembled sun shades are now available. Please see shelterpic.pdf.
