Description
NASA/LaRC has a requirement for 2 each Imperx IPX-11M5 series digital CCD camerasystems or equal in accordance with the following specifications:Description: The required cameras are digital CCD cameras that have the capability ofacquiring an image with exposure times ranging from microseconds to several seconds. Additionally, the camera housings must have suitable dimensions to fit in a limited spacewhile still allowing suitable protections to be used in order to operate in extremelycold environments. Required Features of the Cameras:-The CCD chip shall be thermoelectrically cooled to at least -25 degrees Centigradewithout the use of liquid coolant-Shall be able to accommodate f-mount camera lenses (with or without appropriateadapters)-Shall be able acquire images using exposure times as low as 100 microseconds-Shall employ an electronic shutter-Shall be able to be controlled by a Personal Computer (supplied by the manufacturer)equipped with appropriate Helios frame grabbers and other hardware compatible with NASAsoftware developed for cryogenic testing-Shall have a suitable extender (e.g. fiber optic) so that the camera systems can beseparated from the controlling Personal Computer by at least 100 meters; vendor willsupply all required hardware-Camera body/housing shall have dimensions (W x H x L) of 100 mm x 100 mm x 100 mm orless to fit into the allotted space and allow room for external environmental controlmeasuresCamera System Shall Meet or Exceed these Performance Specifications:-Shall use at least 12-bit digitization or higher-Shall employ a CCD chip with imaging dimensions of at least 4000 (H) x 2672 (V) pixels(>10.5 megapixels)-Shall employ a monochrome CCD chip-Shall employ a CCD chip with a peak quantum efficiency of 50% or greater and a quantumefficiency at 650 nm greater than 20%-Camera body shall have dimensions (width, height, and length) of 100 mm x 100 mm x 100mm or less. No dimension can be greater than 100 mm-Shall employ a transfer rate of 25 MHz or greater-Sensor can be read out with software select ability in either single tap or dual tapmode -Shall have total noise of less than 30 electrons in two tap read mode-Shall have user accessible input/output (I/O) channels to externally control exposures, monitor camera signals, and trigger other equipment based on exposure-Shall employ a CCD chip which has a full well of at least 60,000 electrons per pixelbefore binning-Shall be capable of pixel binning to minimum of X2 in both the horizontal and verticaldirections-Shall have a signal to noise ratio (SNR) of at least 65 dB-Shall be able to be operated in either single exposure or double exposure mode-Shall interface with the supplied computer via Camera Link interface-Shall be controlled by a computer (supplied by vendor with requisite frame grabber andcontrol hardware) and have a software developer kit (SDK) provided for writing customdata acquisition programsVendor Supplied Computer System Shall Meet or Exceed these Performance Specifications:-Shall employ an Intel Core 2 Quad processor or better-Shall have hardware consisting of at least: 4 GB RAM, two (2) 750 GB SATA (RAID 0)drives, and a DVD read/write drive-Shall have a Dual-Headed output PCIE X16 graphics card with 512 MB memory-Shall be equipped with suitable hardware to interface with cameras (e.g. Helios framegrabbers with suitable memory to store and process acquired images)- Shall have a 22-inch widescreen LCD monitor providedThis notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared inaccordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additionalinformation included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the onlysolicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are beingrequested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
