Description
This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website located at http://www.fbo.gov, the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition website located at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/homepage.htm. FBO is the primary point of entry to be used when access to synopses and solicitations from the World Wide Web is required. However, the NECO webpage as well as the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition webpage serve as alternatives if the FBO website is unavailable. Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division has a requirement for thermal binoculars. The thermal binoculars shall use an un-cooled imager and include a digital magnetic compass, inclinometer and visible and infrared aiming lasers. The thermal binocular shall have the capability to view images in a regular, narrow and wide field of view either through internal optics or external lens attachments. The thermal binocular shall include a soft carrying case, lens cleaning kit, user manuals, neck strap, lens covers, power and software cables and batteries. Initial inspection shall be at source and final acceptance will be destination. It is anticipated this action will result in a five-year firm fixed price (FFP) supply type Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract and will not be utilizing the policies contained in FAR Part 12. The minimum/maximum quantity to be procured under this contract will be 2/500 units. Offerors will be required to submit a product s! ample with their proposal. Award will be made on a best value basis. The contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database, located at www.ccr.gov. The solicitation will be available on or about 14 May 2009 at the three websites listed above.
