Description

The United State Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation Service located in Alexandria, LA is requesting bids for debris removal for Coulee Bayou, West Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana that was deposited by Hurricane Gustav. This procurement is being set aside as a "Local Area Set Aside" for HUBZone businesses located within the counties declared a major disaster area by the President of the United States. Only offers from businesses residing or primarily doing business in the following parishes in Louisiana will be considered for award: Union, Morehouse, West Carroll, East Carroll, Ouachita, Richland, Madison, Franklin, Tensas, Concordia, Catahoula, LaSalle, Winn, Grant, Avoyelles, Rapides, Vernon, Sabine, Beauregard, Allen, Evangeline, St. Landry, St. Martin, Lafayette, Acadia, Jefferson Davis, Calcasieu, Cameron, Vermillion, Iberia, West Feliciana, East Feliciana, Tangipahoa, Washington, St. Tammany, Orleans, St. Bernard, St. Helena, Plaquemines, Lafourche, Jefferson, St. Charles, St. John the Baptist, Livingston, East Baton Rouge, West Baton Rouge, Point Coupee, Iberville, Ascension, St. James, Assumption, St. Martin, St. Mary, and Terrebonne. Work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals required to remove and dispose of the debris. The estimated magnitude of this procurement is between $100,000 and $250,000. The performance time of this action is 47 calendar days. Successful offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR), http://www.ccr.gov to receive a contract award. Failure to register in this system will result in the offer not being considered for award. Solicitation packages should be available on FedBizOpps on or about May 12, 2009. All bidders may submit a bid which will be considered by the agency. Interested contractors are required to assure if any amendments to this solicitation have been issued prior to submitting a bid.
