Description
This announcement amends combined solicitation/synopsis, 701819Q314, to revised salient characteristics and extend response time. The DNA Extraction Workstation must meet the following salient characteristics:-Automated DNA extraction workstation that takes the sample from tissue lysis to DNA elution, with the final product being genomic DNA.-Integrated UV light-Integrated lid that protects user from robotic arm and ensures a controlled and shield environment-Dead-air volume is adjustable within the accompanying software for a wide variety of sample types and viscosities-The unit must have a small footprint with dimensions no greater than 24 inches wide, 17 inches high, 24 inches deep.-Instrument connects to a laptop or desktop PC computer with Microsoft Windows XP -Accompanying software generates diagnostic report in email format and bundles relevant files for technical assistance with a single click of the mouse-Sample IDs, such as bar codes, can be easily imported into the software-Has auto height calibration function to set height-Software supports setup wizards for ease of use in programming-Uses disposable and non-disposable reagent troughs-Software can easily import sample names from any existing sample management system and can also export sample information -All reporting functions can be easily exported into.html,.doc, or email format-Must have a sample volume range of 10 ul to 1000 ul-Workstations should utilize 96 well plates. The expected throughput of the workstation is 6 plates per day.-Workstations should be easy to use and require minimal to no onsite training.-Warranty Quoted workstations must meet ALL of the listed salient characteristics above to be considered.
