Description: Desc: NSN: 1015-01-537-0697, Part Number: 12010524, the item to procure is a Deflector Blast. Material is Steel 1015 per ASTM A108 or ASTM A576. The Deflector, Blast consists of Tray weldment, P/N: 13010523; Bracket, P/N: 12913741; Stop, P/N: 12913748; Spring, P/N: 12903074, Bearing, P/N: 12913746; Cap, P/N: 12323885; and various screws, washers and spacers. Requirements are 1,800 each, Deflector, Blast. FOB is Destination. The End Item use is for the M1A1/A2 Abrams Tanks. Initial and Revised Amendment 0002 will be issued to the solicitation on or about 10 May 2009. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal non-responsive and result in the rejection of same. This solicitation is 100% Small Business Set-aside, for 1,800 each. There are two (2) 100% options required in this forthcoming solicitation. The purpose of amendment 0002 is to request initial and revised proposals/quotes and to amend the terms of the solicitation. Those offerors that have already submitted an offer will have the opportunity to submit a revised proposal/quote based on the terms of the solicitation and this amendment. Those offerors that have not submitted a proposal/quote may take this opportunity to review the solicitation and amendments and submit a proposal/quote. The terms of the solicitation are amended as follows: Interested bidders, at their own expense are to fabricate a prototype per drawing 13010524 requirements minus the required final finishes and identification markings. This prototype will be delivered to the Government for functional and dimensional inspections. Only prototypes receiving a GO rating will be considered further for award. You are hereby notified that award will be made on the basis of Offerors proposed prices and PPIRS-SR score.
