- Description
- Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Laboratory (Lab) Amplifier Frequency Upgrade System to obtain an electric field capacity in the frequency range of 26.5 GHz to 40 GHz to extend an existing MIL-STD-461F, test method RS103 capability. The EMI Lab Frequency Upgrade system shall produce electric field strength of at least 200 Volts/meter at a distance of one meter from the radiating antenna between 26.5 GHz and 40 GHz, at the frequency increments specified in MIL-STD-461F. The complete system shall consist of one each 26.5 - 40 GHz 19" rack mountable amplifier with General Purpose Interface Bus (GPIB) control functionality, one 26.5 - 40 GHz high-gain narrow beam-width horn antenna that can be paired with the amplifier, and one 26.5 - 40 GHz high-gain wide beam-width horn antenna that can be paired with the amplifier. The system shall be capable of being powered by standard power supplies such as 3 phase 208 Vac, single phase 208 Vac, or single phase 115 Vac. Power output of the amplifier shall be a minimum of 40 watts CW. The contractor shall deliver two each electric field probes, with continuous wave (CW) measurement capability. The field probes shall be capable of measuring the genera! ted fields between 26.5-40 GHz at a minimum and extension to lower frequencies is desired. The field probes shall connect and provide electric field data with the existing Amplifier Research (AR) AR FM7000 series field monitor. A written Request for Quotations (RFQ) will be issued using the procedures in FAR Part 12 and FAR 13.5 - Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. A firm fixed price contract is expected to be awarded by 21 August 2008, FOB Destination China Lake, CA 93555. The delivery schedule will be 150 days after date of award. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency, referencing N68936-09-T-0131 to Jennifer Corcoran. See Note 1.
