Description
RECOVERY - THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER THE SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS (SABER) CONTRACT NUMBER FA9301-04-D-0025. Contractor: Ace Engineering, Inc. 1800 Wright Avenue, La Verne, CA 91750-5824. It is the Contracting Squadron's intent to award firm-fixed price task orders to the above contractor. Davis-Bacon wages presently in effect for California. CA070013 (Modification 13) dated 11/23/2007 and CA070031 (Modification 17) dated 11/23/2007 will prevail. These acquisitions are subject to the North American Industry Classification Code 236220 and the annual size standard is $28.5 million. FSPM972505 - MC Construct Range OPS Warehouse, Bldg 1451 THE PROJECT DESCRIPTION IS AS FOLLOWS: The work to be accomplished at Edwards AFB, CA, requests a proposal to construct a new warehouse, identified as Building 1451. The programmed use of the building is for storage of sensitive electronic equipment and supplies used at Ridley Mission Control, B1440. No combustibles will be stored and there will be no human occupancy. Siting considerations included ease of access to Ridley's loading dock and freight elevator, use of existing pavements, and avoidance of existing buried utilities lines. Its location at the intersection of two distinguished visitor routes will require enhanced exterior design consideration. Associated with Ridley, the new warehouse characteristics should reflect its characteristics: 1) Textured, cement-based, low maintenance wall panels 2) Parapet walls on three sides (SE, SW, & NW) 3) Single slope, reflective metal roof, sloping to the north-east Size of this pre-engineered building is expected to be approximately 4,000 square-feet with a 60' x 60' footprint. A fire suppression/detection/reporting system will be required. HVAC is required only to temper interior climate, avoiding freezing and over-heating. Existing mature landscaping will have to removed. Existing drainage swales will have to be re-configured. New landscaping and site drainage are included in this project. Include storage racks "fixed" to three of four interior perimeter walls. Include "fixed" vehicle-control gate across adjacent service driveway.
