Description
RFQ Westinghouse Anniston (WA) is soliciting quotations to provide installation of the SO2 Detection System for the MPF Cool Down Enclosure Area at the ANCDF (Anniston Chemical Demilitarization Facility). WA reserves the right not to award a subcontract after receipt of quotations. MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION The magnitude of construction for this solicitation is between $25,000 and $100,000 STATEMENT OF WORK The selected subcontractor will receive the major components from WA at the site and then complete the physical installation of the Sulfur Dioxide (SO2) gas detection system components as specified in the manufacturer's manual and as indicated. The subcontractor will provide all labor, materials, and equipment needed to complete the installation. The SO2 sensors are to be located in the MPF Cool down Conveyor Enclosure (CDCE) area. The SO2 concentration signals from the sensor will be read and indicated on the controller mounted in a NEMA 4x enclosure in a small vestibule located just to the plant north of the CDCE. From the Output Expansion Module connected to the controller, 4 individual 4 - 20 ma analog circuits will be installed connecting the controller output and the site MPF PLC interface panel. The SO2 detection system will also provide local (CDCE) alarm indication using 2 lights corresponding to the "High" and "High-High" concentration levels. A "Trouble" indication (from dry contacts closure) will also be communicated back to the site MPF PLC interface panel. The PLC will provide a contact closure for alarm Reset/acknowledgement to the Controller. Any deficiencies in the installation discovered during the Maintenance ("Programming") and/or the Automation ("PLC Code Programming") shall be addressed by the subcontractor. General: Prior to acceptance work shall be inspected to ensure that a complete installation has been provided and that the identified signals and communications intended have been implemented. Period of Performance Work to commence by May 15, 2009 and complete by May 21, 2009.
