Description
The NAICS Code is 332995. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD), Port Hueneme, California intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price Order on a sole source basis to Kollmorgen Corporation, Electro Optical Division, 347 King Street, Northampton, MA 61060, under Basic Ordering Agreement Number N00024-06-G-4300. The contractor shall perform the following task: (1) Evaluate and repair Eight (8) Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) to the configuration specified by the latest revision of drawing 53711-6937062. Re-use all components whose condition is evaluated as fit for service. For all components whose condition is evaluated as unfit for service but can be made serviceable through repair or rework, perform repair/rework as required to restore them to serviceable condition. Delivery schedule is 3 months ARO. Kollmorgen Corporation is the only known company that currently possesses the in-depth technical knowledge, experience, and production facilities to perf! orm the efforts for the Teardown, Inspection, and Evaluation (TIE) of the MK 46 Optical Sight System (OSS) components. As part of the follow-on Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00024-06-G-4300, the Government estimates for award to another source would result in duplicate cost. This estimate was based on the cost associated with establishing test equipment, procedures, engineering, and technical support, as well as training required to establish a minimum cadre of engineering and technical support personnel. Notes 22 & 26 apply.
