Description
This is a sources sought notice published for market research purposes only. Anticipated NAICS Code: 237990, Size Standard: $33.5 million. The Nashville District anticipates advertising a 3 year Streambank Protection solicitation in the near future. This is a required market survey. Please read the general project information attached and answer the four (4) questions at the end. Your participation in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Please do not respond after the close date listed in the attached survey information. U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District Streambank Protection General Scope of Work Riverbank protection is defined by the scope of work specified in the contract documents and/or detailed in the contract drawings. The successful Contractor shall be required to provide riverbank protection by furnishing all necessary technical expertise; planning; management; supervision; inspection; personnel; parts; tools; fuel; equipment; vehicles and transportation; materials and supplies; except as otherwise provided for herein, required TO PERFORM THE REQUIRED TASKS FROM THE RIVER. The Contractor shall be required to commence work within ten (10) days of the issuance of the Delivery Order, unless otherwise described in the Delivery Order, and provide the services in the performance period specified in the Delivery Order. For each award, the Contractor shall be prepared to receive and execute concurrent Delivery Orders at different locations within the boundaries of the respective award area specified below. All work shall be completed as specified, detailed and/or in strict accordance with all Terms, Conditions, General, Specific and Technical Provisions, contained herein or incorporated by reference. Incorporation by reference shall include any and all mandatory provisions required by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) whether it is referenced or not referenced, current at time of award. TENNESSEE RIVER BASIN The Tennessee River is divided into three reaches. Area One includes both rivers (Cumberland and Tennessee Rivers) from the mouths to the Kentucky-Tennessee state border line (Tennessee River Mile 49.3). This area includes the Tennessee River, the Cumberland River, as well as, navigable channels adjacent to the main channels. Area Two includes the Tennessee River only and begins at River Mile 49.3 and extends to Guntersville Dam (River Mile 349.0) and covers the Tennessee River as well as navigable channels adjacent to the main channel. Area Three begins immediately upstream of Guntersville Dam and extends upstream to River Mile 652.0, and covers the navigable Tennessee River as well as, navigable channels adjacent to the main channel. CUMBERLAND RIVER BASIN Similarly, the Cumberland River is divided into two reaches. Area One includes both rivers (Cumberland and Tennessee Rivers) from the mouths to the Kentucky-Tennessee state border line (Cumberland River Mile 74.7). This area includes the Tennessee River, the Cumberland River, as well as, navigable channels adjacent to the main channels. Area One is the same area as described above in previous paragraph. Area Four includes the Cumberland River only and begins at River Mile 74.7 and extends upstream to River Mile 381.0, and covers the navigable Cumberland River as well as, navigable channels adjacent to the main channel. Questions 1.Does your firm own and operate river barges capable of performing these above listed General Statement of Work. Specifically placing stone from the river to the embankment areas? 2.Does your firm have the capability of working multi-project locations at the same time? 3.Does your firm have the required bonding capacity ($5 Million plus)? 4.Do you anticipate bidding on the proposed project?
