Description
The Balkans Contingency Contracting Team, Camp Bondsteel Kosovo, APO AE 09340 Location: Camp Bondsteel, APO AE 09340 Scope of services required: Construction The general scope of work includes, but is not limited to: A single contract for the following construction services: Resurface 36 Helipads and to include other services that will be listed within the Statement of Work (SOW) of the solicitation. All helipad surfaces shall be machine-milled to provide a smooth surface for the asphalt concrete overlay. The milling operation shall not create birdbaths but shall provide a continuous sloping surface that will result in good drainage from the interior of the helipads towards the adjacent areas. The milling machine shall be heavy duty equipment acceptable to the Contracting Officer Representative. All dust and deleterious material shall be removed from the milled surface by water/air blasting or other means. All dust created by milling shall be controlled by the Contractor as much as possible. Concurrent with preparation of the slab, all existing cracks and joints shall be cleaned with high pressure water and compressed air. A hot sand asphalt cement slurry mix shall then be poured into the cracks and joints creating a level surface prior to overlaying with asphalt concrete. Spalled concrete on the outside edges of the helipads shall be formed square as much as possible with compacted asphalt concrete. This may require setting up wooden/steel forms at the edges prior to overlaying with asphalt concrete. All effort shall be made to not feather-edge the asphalt concrete overlay. This announcement is Full and Open. The solicitation, including any amendments, shall establish the official opening and closing dates and times.*** Site visit to be determined at a later date. Any significant evaluation factors: Proposals received in response to this solicitation will be evaluated in accordance with procedures outlined in FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items, offer being most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The solicitation will include evaluation factors and SOWs. Any changes to evaluation factors will be issued by amendment.
