Description
The Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), intends the acquisition of FAA COURSE 28451: AIRCRAFT STRUCTURES FOR INSPECTORS, intended for FAA Certification Engineers and Manufacturing Inspectors. The DOT/FAA anticipates the award of Firm-Fixed Priced Purchase Order for two classes. The classes are anticipated for 06/02/2009 through 06/11/2009 and 08/11/2009 through 08/20/2009 but are subject to change. The estimated release of SIR/RFQ is 20 APR 2009.CLOSING DATE: 3:00 PM CST 25 APRIL 2009. The estimated date of Award is on or before 01 May 2009. At this time the FAA has established a reasonable expectation for competition and intends to award the effort to the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) contractor. Estimated Release date of the SIR/RFO is 20 April 2009. Estimated Award Date on or before 01 May 2009. The Contractor must be able to provide training in accordance with the Performance Work Statement and be capable to commence classroom training for FAA Certification Engineers and Manufacturing Inspectors upon acceptance of the Contract Award. The two 64 hour classes will be conducted at a location provided by the contractor. The FAA has determined that the urgent need of the training requires highly qualified instructors with a developed course and instructors capable of providing the training.
