- Sources Sought Information Request Form -- Please submit this form and all associated information with your response to this notice. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT notice, and not a request for proposals. The Detroit District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking interested firms that have the capability to provide construction services for a project that shall include, but not be limited to, the relocation and re-use of stone fill, placement of 2140 linear feet of steel sheet pile front and anchor walls with wall support hardware, removal and disposal of the Wakefield sheet wall and placement of splash stone at Section N of the South Revetment, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. The estimated cost of construction will be between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990, which has a size standard of $33,500,000 in average annual receipts. The anticipated duration of construction will be 180 days from issuance of a notice to proceed. This is NOT a request for proposals. This announcement is for planning purposes only. In order to determine the extent of industry interest and experience in the requirement, interested contractors shall present a completed Sources Sought Information Request Form and all associated information specified therein. Qualified companies are encouraged to respond. The response to this notice shall be in summary format and shall not exceed three (3) pages, not including the response form. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this sources sought or Government use of any information provided. The Government will not pay for information or comments provided and will not recognize any costs associated with submission of comments. Companies or individuals interested in responding are invited to submit the Sources Sought Information Request Form and associated information via email only to the Detroit District Contracting Office at LRE-Quotes@usace.army.mil. Responses shall include the following information: (1) A completed Sources Sought Information Request Form. (2) If applicable, identification and verification of the company as a Small Business, HUBZone, 8(a), or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business, subject to verification by the Small Business Administration. (3) A letter from the firm's bonding company verifying that the firm can be bonded up to the amount of this project. (4) Past Experience - provide descriptions of three projects substantially complete or completed within the last five years which are similar to this project in size, scope, and dollar value. (5) A statement identifying what portion of the work would be self performed, and how it would be accomplished. Attachments must be provided in either Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat PDF format. Please send responses by no later than 2:00 PM local prevailing time at Detroit, MI on 22 April 2009. PLEASE REFERENCE "SOURCES SOUGHT: Sturgeon Bay Revetment Repair" IN THE SUBJECT LINE. Respondents will not be contacted regarding their submission or information gathered as a result of this Sources Sought notice. The Invitation for Bid will be issued at a later date by a separate announcement.
