Description
This contract will include replacing the twin culverts at Nasty Creek on the South Fork Salmon River road. The crossing will require removal and disposal of the two 3’ by 4’ arch pipes, and installing one 14 foot span by 44 foot long open bottom concrete box. The project also includes saw cutting, removal and disposal of the existing asphalt concrete and the cement treated base. It also includes structural excavation, installing the new structure, and structural backfill. The work will also include placing a finish base course of aggregate base, and installing a new layer of asphalt concrete. Stream diversion and erosion control is required. The contractor shall not close the road until after August, 16 of 2009, and contractor shall close the road for up to 14 days maximum. Temporary delays of up to 2 hours will be permitted after the 14 days of closure for paving and other clean-up work. The entire project must be done before September 30, 2009. There are other projects occurring in the area the area such as: Valley county will replace three bridges on the Lick Creek Road between McCall and Ponderosa campground. The county will have the road closed at those bridges between July 15, 2009 and August 15, 2009. The East Fork of the South Fork Salmon River bridge will be closed for repairs starting after the Johnson Creek Road opens in the spring, and the work is scheduled to be completed by 9/30/2009. The South Fork Salmon River road runs north from the Warm Lake Highway at Warm Lake for a distance of 30.7 miles to the junction of the Lick Creek Road, which is an east-west road that runs from McCall to Yellowpine. The Nasty creek crossing is at mile post 17.97. It is approximately 1 miles south of Reed Ranch and 1 mile north of the Fourmile Campground. Project is estimated $25,000-$100,000. This project will be SERVICE - DISABLED VETERAN OWNED BUSINESS SET- ASIDE.
