Description

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Procurement Operations, on behalf of Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO), intends to enter into a sole source contract in accordance with FAR Part 6.303. This notice is not a Request for Proposal, nor does it represent a commitment by the Department of Homeland Security to pay for any costs incurred by the preparation and submission of data or any other costs incurred in response to this notification. No solicitation document is available. Federal Business Opportunities numbered Note 22 applies with the exception of the 45 day response time. DHS intends to enter into a sole source contract with Spectra Gas Inc., 3434 Route 22 West, Branchburg, New Jersey to purify, handle, track and store 8,763 liters of Helium-3 (He3) for Neutron Detectors. This “Notice of Intent” is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination to compete this solicitation will be based upon responses to this notice, and is at the sole discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses to this notice will be considered if received via email by peter.agyei-sarpong@dhs.gov no later than the response date and time specified in this notice.
