Description
Interested contractors, who have knowledge of and experience with the manufacture or use of airlift vehicles or air refueling vehicles, are invited to observe planning conferences for the Headquarters, Air Mobility Command (AMC) sponsored Future Mobility (FUMO) Wargame 2009. FUMO is a bi-annual exercise designed to explore future capabilities and concepts for the 2028 time period. Its purpose is to identify opportunities for Air Force and Industry research and development, and to enhance AMC strategy for future POM inputs. AMC's FUMO Wargame will also support the Air Force's Future Capabilities Game. The first FUMO planning conference will be held at Scott AFB, 12-14 May 09. During this FUMO planning conference, government representatives (wargame players) will develop study questions that will be answered during wargame execution (scheduled for August). As industry representatives at this first planning conference, your role will be to gain an insight into the development of those study questions so that your company can provide a conceptual air vehicle, materiel solution, in response to the study questions during the second planning conference. We believe your company's analytical expertise is very valuable in the development of future air mobility concepts and capabilities. The second planning conference will be held, 14-16 July, 2009, at Scott AFB. Industry representatives may be offered an opportunity to present possible solutions or ideas based upon on those questions developed at the first planning conference applicable to your company's area of expertise. Note: Interested companies should plan on attending both planning conferences. Note: This is not a solicitation for competitive bid, nor will it obligate the government to any contractual action. Attendance is strictly voluntary and at contractor's expense. The government will not reimburse any costs related to contractor attendance. Note: These planning conferences will be classified at the SECRET level. If your company plans to attend the planning conferences, or needs additional information, please contact Mr. Bob Nagel, HQ AMC, (618) 229-4059; email: bob.nagel@scott.af.mil. If attending, request your Security Manager send your security information either through the Joint Personnel Adjudicator System (JPAS) (SMO Code: SF1LFS3H6) or FAX a visitor request letter with security information to Mr. Nagel at (618) 256-4017.
