- Security/Courier Services The Department of State, Office of Acquisition is conducting market research to determinine the availability of potential 8a businesses that have the capabilities to perform Security/Courier Services. The requirement is to provide Security/Courier Services support for Department of State facilities specified in the attachment. This is a Sources Sought announcement only for purposes of conducting market research. This is not a pre-solicitation or solicitation announcement and no contract will be awarded from this Notice. No phone calls related to this notice will be accepted. All correspondence shall be via email.. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this notice. The type of contract will be determined after evaluation of market research. The primary anticipated North American Industrial Classification code (NAICS) for this acquisition is 561210. Interested businesses are invited to review the Statement of Work (SOW) in order to provide capabilities demonstrating ability to successfully perform this requirement. The SOW details the objectives, requirements and specifications. (See Attachment) INSTRUCTIONS: All interested parties are required to respond to this source sought announcement via email by April 30, 2009, 4:00pm EST. Interested 8a businesses shall submit an electronic copy of their capability statements via email to BarnesBL2@state.gov. The capabilities package shall be concise and focused. Incomplete packages will not be reviewed. Offeror’s response to this notice shall be limited to 10 pages and shall include the following information: •Offeror’s name, address, point of contract, phone number and e-mail address •Offeror’s interest in bidding on the solicitation when it is issued •Offeror’s capability to meet the tasks as described in the Statement of Work (SOW) (See Attachment) Due to the time constraints on for this requirement, interested Offerors shall respond to this Sources Sought Notice no later than 4:00 pm EST on April 30, 2009. All interested contractors must be registered in CCR to be eligible for award of Government contracts.
