Henrietta RD., Rochester, NY 14623. Work under this project generally iincludes the removal the existing eyewash stations and providing tepid water to seven (7) new EWDS and one (1) new eye wash station (EWS) located as shown on the drawings. Additionally work includes a new hot water storage tank, plumbing and drain piping, mixing valves, piping insulation, visual and audible alarms required to support the new EW and EWDS IAW ANSI Standard Z358.1-2004 and 29 CFR 1915.151. 1. Provide a new 120 gallon A.O Smith hot water storage tank model TJV-120A (or equal), located per the drawing. Provide dielectric fittings and ball valves at all connections to the tank (-) T&P valve)). Provide T&P valve and pipe down to within 6" AFF. 2. Provide a new 2" type L copper “riser” pipe from the top discharge port located at the top of the new hot water storage tank. Provide a tee in the ceiling area to feed both the warehouse and maintenance area EWDSs, Both the warehouse and maintenance area mains shall be 1-1/2" type L copper pipe. See drawings for valves and unions. 3. Domestic cold water piping, maintenance area side of the building: The building has an antiquated cold water service piping. The intent of this contact is to provide a new 3” main from the boiler room out to EWDS #7. The new pipe shall be supported with a new trapeze hanger and parallel the existing 3” pipe. Where the existing 3” main tee’s to supply existing branch piping, provide a tee in the new 3” copper domestic water main with a 1” nipple and threaded ball valve, for future tie-in. Provide a threaded plug in each unused (future) ball valve. The 3” new cold water pipe shall transition (at the tee) to 1- Ό” copper pipe feeding the supply side of the mixing valve. A 28” heat sink shall be provided as shown on the drawings. Provide valves and fittings as shown in the drawings. 4. Domestic hot water piping, maintenance area side of the building. This new pipe shall parallel the new 3” cold water pipe and be supported from a trapeze hanger provided above. Where the new 3” cold water main is provided with plugged valves, provide a tee and plugged valve for future tie-in with a 1” nipple and threaded ball valve, for future tie-in. Provide a threaded plug in each unused (future) ball valve. The 1-½” new hot water pipe shall transition (at the tee) to 1- Ό” copper pipe feeding the supply side of the mixing valve. A 28” heat sink shall be provided as shown on the drawings. Provide valves and fittings as shown in the drawings. - At the “end of the line, EWDS #7”, reduce the pipe size from 1 ½” to Ύ” to provide a recirculation loop back to the existing building hot water recirculation loop located near the communications/electronics shop, supported from the trapeze hanger. At the existing recirculation loop, cut-in a check valve on the existing hot water feed pipe to prevent back feeding. Route piping on trapeze installed for the main piping. 5. Domestic cold water piping, warehouse area side of the building. This side of the building has a new section of 3” pipe above the loading dock maintenance area. Provide a tee within this new section of pipe and transition to 1-1/2 pipe to feed both EWDS #1 and #2. The 1-½” new hot water pipe shall transition (at the horizontal to vertical elbow) to 1- Ό” copper pipe feeding the supply side of the mixing valve. A 28” heat sink shall be provided as shown on the drawings. Provide valves and fitting as shown in the drawings. Support this pipe with a trapeze from the bar joists. 6. Domestic hot water piping, warehouse side of the building. Provide a new 1 ½” copper pipe from the storage tank “riser pipe” (see paragraph #2) to EWDS #1 and #2. This new pipe shall parallel both the (existing) 3” and the 1 1/2” cold water pipe and shall be supported from a trapeze hanger hung from the buildings bar joists, 10’ O.C. Because of the proximity to the hot water heater/storage tank, a recirculation loop is not required. 7. Provide eight Bradley model EFX-25 S19-2100 mixing valves (with the stainless steel cabinet) or equal at 5' AFF (C/L), mount as shown on the drawings. Where indicated, provide a 4’ X 8’ sheet, 14ga painted aluminum panel. Mount the mixing valve cabinet, electrical receptacles and other equipment to this panel. The panel shall extend to the floor. The panel shall be painted yellow on the mixing valve side; the other sides shall remain unpainted. Where panels are not required mount equipment to the existing wall. Walls shall also be painted yellow as shown. 12. Electrical work: Provide a single gang malleable iron FS box at the locations indicated on the drawings at 7’ AFF (TYP) or where most appopriate. Provide power from panels as shown on the drawings. Provide one new single pole breaker for each panel, confirm breaker type. Provide Ύ” EMT with steel compression fittings. Provide two #12 THHN copper conductors and one #12 THHN copper ground conductor to provide 120V 15A power to the GFCI duplex receptacle, located per the drawings. Provide in-use covers. Provide a NEMA 5-15 cord end and 14/2 with ground SJ cord from the Bradley model S19-320 flow switch and alarms system to the GFCI, as required to complete the power connections. 13.
