Description
Additional Information: It is estimated that 1320 hours of aircraft flight time, 2416 hours of certified flight instructor time, and 980 hours of flight surgeon/pilot time will be required to satisfy this effort. The number of aircraft, flight instructors, and flight surgeon/pilots required to meet this contractual obligation will increase with each successive element. The initial requirement will be for a maximum of two aircraft and two flight instructors. This will increase to a maximum of three aircraft and three flight instructors. The last increments will require enough aircraft and instructors to fly a minimum of 10 sorties per day and two flight surgeon pilots and then increase again to require enough aircraft and instructors to fly 20 sorties per day and two or three flight surgeon pilots. Implementation is scheduled to begin NLT 14 September 2009. It is expected that this activity will mature into an ongoing flight training requirement at USAFSAM that could require as much as 5800 hours of flight training annually and that will migrate to Dayton, Ohio with the School in 2011 Insurance limits are not known at this time. All training must be accomplished in accordance with USAF, AFMC, and FAA regulations and requirements. Fuel will not be available from military sources. The Government would consider tandem seating but prefers side-by-side seating for the type of training that will be conducted. The USAF's Initial Flight Screening program uses side-by-side cockpits. Late responses will be accepted.
