- LEAN SIX SIGMA SUPPORT SERVICES UNITED STATES ARMY CENTRAL COMMAND The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Center McPherson has the requirement to identify Small Business Sources Only capable of providing Lean Six Sigma support services as identified in the PWS. The anticipated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 541611. Interested Companies within this socioeconomic category must respond to the Sources Saught Announcement no later than 2:00 p.m. (EST) on 13 April 2009, by providing firm, quality, and quantifiable information. Potencial offerors must demonstrate their ability to perform this requirement by providing their technical capability and current (within 5 years), relevant past performance experience. Required qualifications are described in the Statement of Work (SOW). The primary place of performance will be USARCENT Headquarters, Fort McPherson, GA. Outside Contiguous United States(OCONUS) travel will be required. The Government will not reimburse any concern for any information that is submitted in response to this Sources Sought request. Any information submitted is voluntary. Brief Description of Requirement: The U.S. Army has three focus areas in its Business Transformation Strategic Framework: Continuous Process Improvement (CPI), Organizational Analysis and Design (OA&D), and Situational Awareness. The Army is deploying Lean Six Sigma (LSS) as its CPI approach. This is being done in order to identify improvement initiatives and optimize organizational performance. USARCENT intends to achieve hard dollar cost reductions LSS Type 1 Benefits as its main target. The intent underlying the deployment is to: Eliminate waste and focus on what is important; providing trained, equipped, experienced and manned forces to tactical commanders. Minimize the impact of expanding requirements. Develop a competitive advantage by reforming processes to better support the engaged Army. Divest functions no longer relevant to the current operational environment. Improve processes to eliminate steps and increase responsiveness.
